By the way, your Mom stole her line ( “a woman can’t be too rich or too thin” ) from Wallace Simpson, aka The Duchess of Windsor, who was definitely too thin for an old broad. I’ve heard it said that after 50, you must make a choice between your face or your hips…seems about right.
I think every woman could relate to this essay. If the issue isn’t weight, there’s always something else that makes a girl less than self- confident growing up.
